I had a server for 2 weeks at Contabo an chose their service for their promise of 99% DDoS mitigation.
That's not true. I became a DDoS victim by a unknown source and the only thing Contabo did was disable my IP.
After three days Contabo shut down my server forever and I paid for three months and I won't get a refund because of the DDoS.
Their promise of 99% DDoS mitigation is a lie and you should not trust it when you order a server.
You will lose your money and your server when DDoSed.

I’m sorry that our DDoS protection did not live up to your expectations. It works fine for 100,000+ customers we host worldwide. It is true however that we see an increasing number of DDoS attacks as well as more and more sophisticated attack patterns. This sometimes blinds our DDoS Protection or makes them overreact. We are working on improving this though.

Zeer tevreden over de services van Contabo, heb inmiddels al een jaar meerdere VPS diensten bij ze, nog nooit downtime gehad, geen seconde.
De support is ook geweldig, via mail binnen 1 uur andwoord van 8 uur sochtens tot 11 uur savonds het hele jaar door.
Alleen de DDoS protectie is wat minder, ik raad het zeker aan om alles via cloudflare of een andere goede DDoS protectie te laten gaan. Nadat een van mijn virtual privet servers er 3 dagen achter elkaar 24 uur uitlag vanwegen DDoS aanvallen ben ik ook cloudflare gaan gebruiken, sinds dien nergens meer last van!

Snel antwoord op support en nog geen enkel probleem mee gehad. Het enige nadel is de setup-fees maar daar valt zeker niet over te klagen want de maandelijke prijs is zeer goedkoop.
Ik ben nu bijna een jaar klant bij contabo en maar 1x een echt probleem wat eigelijk mijn eigen schuld was en dat hebben hun zonder enigen moeiten voor mij opgelost zonder kosten! als je voor een goedekopen en goede host zoekt is deze het zekker!
