Ultimamente o suporte da Contabo está horrível, servidor bloqueado a mais de 48h e nenhuma resposta do suporte para resolver o problema. Estamos dispostos a ajudar na resolução do problema mas sem o suporte não é possível.
Estou reavaliando os serviços da Contabo, inicialmente tive uma experiência não muito boa como pode ser visto no relato abaixo.
Porém reavalio neste momento, pois fui muito bem atendido pelo Alexsander da Contabo, o qual me devolveu os valores aplicados e me possibilitou novos testes de desempenho, os quais foram muito satisfatórios. Neste momento contratei um VPS com NVMe e o mesmo está chegando a 1.1Gbps, muito bom perto da primeira avaliação.

Respeito a opinião dos demais, contratei após ler, mas me decepcionei, só propaganda. Anunciam NVMe de alto desempenho e entregam velocidade de HD. Durante as poucas horas de contratação, fiz inúmeros testes, conclusão desempenho oscila entre ruim e péssimo. Solicitei o cancelamento em menos de 12h e não tive o dinheiro ressarcido. Utilizo o ovh , ótimo preço e qualidade.
Não estou no achismo, testei e acreditem, Contabo eh péssimo.

Estou em contato com a Contabo, após alguns emails me reembolsaram o valor integral e me possibilitaram um período para novos testes.
Estarei fazendo novos testes e reavaliando o desempenho, postarei os resultados aqui para assim poder subsidiar os demais usuários.
Agradeço pelo atendimento, mesmo tardio está sendo muito satisfatório. Estou percebendo na Contabo o empenho em resolver e melhorar seus serviços.
Uma melhoria enorme em relação ao que conheci da Contabo há alguns anos atrás, convém ter alguns conhecimentos mais técnicos na questão das VPS, VDS e servidores
Tenho meu servidor dedicado na Contabo, só tenho problema com o antiddos que é meio fraco, mas utilizei o CSF + ipset + iptables e consegui segurar tudo por causa da grande banda.
Primeira semana estava configurado o Vps já bloquearam a porta 25 e 465 dizendo que eu estava enviando email indevido. Tive que terminar de configurar as pressas e mandar relatório completo de configuração realizada pra poder liberar, isso depois de muita conversa. 3 meses depois de usando o serviço os caras cancelaram o pagamento automático PayPal e 1 dia depois suspenderam todo meu acesso, cobrando uma multa de 15 euros pelo atraso de 1 dia. Resumindo, não indico e nunca mais uso serviço deles, por sorte tenho backup de todos meus projetos.

Contratei recentemente uma VPS na Contabo e hoje fiz um teste para verificar se o meu WordPress enviava email, solicitando para resetar a minha senha de acesso ao admin do WordPress e recebi esta mensagem: O e-mail não pode ser enviado. Possíveis causas: seu host pode ter desabilitado a função mail().

Se você não instalar um servidor smtp ou não utilizar um smtp externo realmente não irá funcionar. Outra opção não sendo a mais indicada, é utilizar sendmail pelo php, mas vale lembrar que por se tiver contratado um VPS "Servidor Virtual Privado", é de sua responsabilidade fazer qualquer tipo de instalação.
